Brie Mills




Brie is a partner in the Mills Sadat Dowlat LLP. She is experienced in all aspects of civil litigation in both state and federal court, and has achieved favorable results for both individual and business clients in high stakes litigation in a variety of matters, including contract disputes, securities fraud, unfair competition, and trade secrets.
Brie began her career as a litigation associate at the international law firm Latham & Watkins, LLP, where she gained substantial experience in complex litigation matters. She then joined a boutique litigation law firm where she continued to hone her litigation skills on high profile state, federal and appellate cases.
Brie graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Loyola Law School in 2011. During law school she served as an editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.

Representative Matters
Represented Canadian computer software vendors in defense of a breach of contract action culminating in award of more than US$10 million on counterclaims.
Represented oil company (one of the largest privately-held companies in California) in shareholder derivative litigation and prevailed on dozens of motions before reaching favorable settlement terms and resolving all claims against the company.
Defended individual client in breach of contract and “palimony” claim, successfully removed case to federal court and obtained dismissal of plaintiff’s claims with prejudice.
Drafted Amicus Curiae Brief in Support of Petition for Writ of Certioari in the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of California foie gras producer.
